Easter has brought us resurrection, remembering, and restoration.

This week’s reading came with two powerful questions which followed the powerful question and answer from Easter’s daily reading. Scroll down to find the video of the reading, and be sure to read all the way to the bottom for a couple of supportive practices to help you embody this week’s reading.

Q1: What is it we need to remember this week?

A1: The Cosmic Egg was drawn and asks us to remember that we are divine and divinely connected.

Cosmic Egg: A snake wrapped around an egg with the colors of the rainbow

Remember…

You are divine. You are divinely connected.

This week, spend time in meditation, remembering your divinity and connection to all that is. One way to do this is to work with the chakra system. The Cosmic Egg represents the 7th, or crown, chakra. However, you need to activate your remembering within each of the six lower chakras (not lesser chakras!) before you will be able to activate your crown. So, depending on where you are in your spiritual journey, you may need to start all the way at the base, or root chakra.

Take your time here. Just because you are called this week into remembrance doesn’t mean that you will actualize all of it this week. If you have not started, this is the week to start. If you have started, this is the week to double-down on your remembering through devotion, intention, and inner stillness.

Be sure to check out the video (below) to get even more on this answer.

Q2: What is being restored in ourselves this week?

A2: The Camel shares that our resilience, capacity, and window of tolerance are being restored.

You are being Restored.

Your resilience, your capacity.

Our world is in a metaphorical desert right now, which leaves most of us feeling frayed, stressed, and unable to take anymore suffering in a world that seems to be full of suffering. We feel resource-poor. The Camel asks us to remember what is within us. As we remember (the first part of this week’s reading), we find our resources, our resilience restored within us. We don’t have to “make it through” or “get out of” the desert—nor are we merely “surviving” the desert. Instead, we remember that we have the resources and the capacity to THRIVE even in the desert.

Stop trying to resist where the world sits right now and all the suffering that is present. Instead, go within. Use prayer, meditation, or another meaningful and introspective spiritual practice to reconnect with your divine nature and with Divinity itself. You will find a wealth of resources and resilience awaiting you that allows you to not just survive but thrive.

Supporting Practices

  • Place the palm of your hand over the center of your chest—your heart space. Close your eyes or soften your gaze to your lap or the floor. Feel your breath flowing in and out of your body. Let that awareness of your breath gently and naturally shift over time to how your breath flows around you and through your entire body, not just your lungs. Stay here, focused on your breath, for as long as it takes to feel more peaceful, a deep sense of calm, and a warmth spreading through your body that initiates from your heart space.

  • Mantra for the week: I am divine. I am divinely connected. I am resourced. I am thriving.
